Blisters Nightclub was acquired by Keith Murray in the early 1990’s and was renamed Cleopatra’s to coincide with the arrival of the new owner. The club is now managed by Keith’s son Sean who continues to combine entertainment and value in Bargoed.

The club is situated on Hanbury Road in the centre of the town and covers two floors. The main floor includes a large bar, large dancefloor area with staging and a DJ booth. Large seating areas are also available with a cigarette machine nearby. The second floor includes a Retro Bar, themed in an 80’s style with nostalgic pictures of classic films and programmes thoughout the room. There is also a separate seating area and access to the smoking gallery.

Cleopatra's has seen some of the world's top DJs perform with the likes of John Kelly, Scott Bond, Dougal, Lisa Pin-Up and local DJs Cally and Juice. With regular events and offers, Cleopatra’s look set to remain the entertainment venue in the valley.

The Retro Bar

The club has a zero tolerance policy on drugs and violent behaviour. Anyone caught doing so will be banned, reported to the Police and to Pubwatch and subsequently banned from other members of the Pubwatch scheme.
